Eventing at Marbach State Stud
Marbach State Stud and the breeding association launched a breeding programme for eventing horses due to Olympic, World and European Championship successes of their horses to meet the high demand for eventing horses bred and reared at Marbach or at their associated breeders.
La Biosthetique Sam FBW (Stan The Man xx / Heraldik xx) or simply called Sam was reared and discovered at Marbach State Stud. Sam has won Olympic Gold in London 2012, again in Rio 2016 and numerous World / European Championships and CCI4* events with his rider Michael Jung – making Sam the world’s number one eventing horse.
Marbach's traditional horse rearing combined with modern science and a carefully managed training scheme laid the foundation for Sam to develop into the champion he is and his true potential was achieved.
Michael Jung has achieved further successes on horses bred from Marbach or associated breeders' stallions:
Eventing Horse Breeding Programme?
Marbach State Stud and the breeding association support breeders with discounts on the stud fee of selected stallions, evaluations of young horses by state eventing trainers and support in many aspects to breed, rear and train eventing horses.
Selected stallions for this breeding programme at the stud include for example Ituango xx – this English Thoroughbred stallion is amongst the top 10 breeding sires in the world. There are many more interesting English Thoroughbreds, Trakehner, Anglo-Arabian, Arabian Thoroughbred and other warmbloods included in the breeding programme.
Interested buyers will find promising horses for sale at Marbach’s Annual Stud Auction in March and at the South German Elite Horse Auction.
Marbach State Stud hosts an international CIC*** event in May every year, which is an important date in the calendar of many eventing riders. On this occasion, eventing horses for sale are usually presented.
